  • Safety and the work environment, the sense of smell, olfactory vocabulary, evaluation of perfume ingredients and fragrances, record-keeping.

  • Gain in-depth knowledge about their origin, extraction methods, classification and odour profiles. To see the perfumery ingredients needed to study this course please have a look HERE.

  • Learn about the volatility of perfume materials, perfume notes, accord creation and perfume structure. Hydroalcoholic, oil and solid formulations. Step by step perfume creation.

  • Develop a deeper understanding of perfume ingredients and more advanced perfumery skills.

  • Understanding perfume structure, perfume familes and their history. Creation of complex accords and perfumes for each of the classic fragrance families.

  • What are natural isolates and how to use them in your perfumes.

  • Tap into your creative side by formulating perfumes that go beyond the classic fragrance families. Explore the relationship between scent and texture, music, literature, history, nature, art and science.

  • Develop skills to continue developing your knowledge of perfumery ingredients, investigate claims about them, and stay on top of new developments in the industry.

  • IFRA, UK and EU regulations concerning perfume and other fragranced products.
